10 "World Premieres" Slated for 2015 Game Awards

Next week's 2015 Game Awards will feature 10 "world premieres," show organizer Geoff Keighley has announced. Writing on Twitter, he also says there will be 10 awards handed out on stage.

The 10 world premieres aren't necessarily all game announcements, as something like a new trailer or other "reveal" could be considered a world premiere if it's never been seen before. Whatever the case, we'd be surprised if there weren't a few bonafide announcements to get excited about.

As for the on-stage awards, these are likely to be for the marquee categories like Game of the Year and other genre winners. The remaining winners will be announced off-stage. You can see a complete list of award categories and nominees here.

The 2015 Game Awards takes place Thursday, December 6, starting at 6 PM PDT. GameSpot will host a livestream and we'll have all the news, trailers, and award winners for you as they're released.

The show, which is expected to run two hours (down from three last year), will also feature musical performances by Deadmau5 and Chvrches. On top of that, it sounds like Star Wars writer Garry Whitta will have some role to play in the show, though what this is remains to be seen.

PS4's Excellent Multiplayer Game TowerFall Adding Cross-Buy, Vita Support

TowerFall Ascension, one of the PlayStation 4's best multiplayer games, is coming to PlayStation Vita next week and will support cross-buy.

TowerFall is scheduled to release on Vita (and, by extension, PS TV) on December 15, according to the PlayStation Blog. Cross-buy support means that if you already own the PS4 version--which was a free PlayStation Plus game back in July--you're automatically entitled to the Vita version once it's available.

This also extends to the game's DLC; if you've previously purchased or plan to buy the Dark World add-on, you'll get access to it on both platforms.

And while it won't be available alongside the Vita version's launch, the plan is to add cross-save support "shortly." That will allow for your save game to move back and forth between the two versions.

TowerFall is a decidedly local multiplayer-centric game. This feature is present in the new Vita version, where it's played with an ad hoc wireless connection.

For more on the game, check out GameSpot's review.

Fallout 4 Patch Analysis Compares PS4 and Xbox One

Bethesda's open-world RPG Fallout 4 received its first official patch this week. It fixed a number of bugs and put an end to the infinite money exploit. But what impact did it have on performance? That's what Digital Foundry examined as part of its new technical analysis comparing the two console versions.

The PlayStation 4 version fares better than the Xbox One edition, the site reports.

"The good news is PS4's improvements aren't limited to one targeted section, but rather, the game at large is now better optimized for Sony's machine," Digital Foundry said. "In particular, any combat that puts a strain on PS4's memory bandwidth--via the usual flurry of effects-work--now gets a marked boost on patch 1.02. The gains are remarkable in one early Deathclaw battle for example, going from lengthy lulls at 25fps and under when using the mini-gun on nearby sandbags, to a practically faultless 30fps with the update."

Frame rate drops still do happen after the patch in some sections, including complex locations like Diamond City where no performance improvements are reported. But the site reports that Fallout 4's patch is a "clear benefit" compared to the game's launch state where average frame rate was in the mid-20s.

The Xbox One version of Fallout 4, however, does not benefit as substantially from the patch in the area of frame rate, Digital Foundry found.

"Unfortunately, all signs point to Xbox One staying largely unmoved in its frame rate delivery of Fallout 4, even with patch 1.02 installed," it said. "Tests between its launch day 1.01 and this update show few differences in the open world overall, many of which are lost within the margin of error."

"That said, one clear exception is in its handling of the Corvega factory, where previous drops to 25fps in the initial sewers area now resolve at 30fps on patch 1.02, albeit with a few minor drops," it added. "At least here, this patch has beneficial effects that mirror those on seen PS4-- though again Xbox One falls short in direct comparisons.

Digital Foundry's analysis also found that Fallout 4's stuttering issues in some sections on Xbox One are not addressed in the new patch. In addition, some shadows have apparently been removed in the Corvega factory interiors on Xbox One and PS4 for reasons unknown.

The site ultimately concluded that Fallout 4's new patch "adds more than it takes, especially so on Sony's flagship console."

Fallout 4 1.02 is expected to be only the first of many future updates to the game. Bethesda has not announced plans for the game's next update, but if history is any indication, you can expect it to launch first on PC and then come to consoles.

How are you finding Fallout 4 since the new patch? Let us know in the comments below!

Rainbow Six Siege Dev Will Not Tolerate Team-Killing

One of the pieces of feedback from Rainbow Six Siege's recently concluded open beta is that team-killing was too common, souring the experience for some. Thankfully, then, Ubisoft has confirmed that it has a plan in place to "handle" trolls when the game officially launches tomorrow, December 1.

Someone on Twitter asked: "Are you going to do anything about trolls that kill people on their team?" Ubisoft responded (via VideoGamer) by saying, "Yes. We have a plan in place to handle them. It will not be tolerated at launch!"

Siege is a team-based tactical shooter that requires players to work together to complete objectives like rescuing hostages. With only one life per round in some modes, team-killing is undoubtedly a particularly frustrating and annoying behavior.

Ubisoft did not share any further details about the efforts it plans to take to combat trolling. Other games take on the issue by booting offending players from individual matches or even temporarily (or permanently) banning their accounts in some cases. We'll have the details about Ubisoft's plans for Siege when they are announced.

Siege launches on December 1 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. The game's open beta, which ran into some problems at its start on November 25, wrapped up today, November 30.

WWE 2K16 Finally Lets You Import Your Face From Your Phone

The WWE 2K16 Creation Studio app, originally slated to launch alongside the game in October, has finally been released.

The primary feature of the app is the ability to take a photo of yourself (or use one you already have saved), edit it, and then import it into the game. Once you've got it in the game, you can apply it to the face of a new wrestler and then pray you aren't transformed into a hideous monster.

Aside from uploading faces, you can use the app to import logos for use in 2K16's Creations modes. These images can be used to design arenas, championship belts, billboards, tattoos, and more.

Either way, the process for using the app is reasonably simple. If you need any help, the game's official blog has step-by-step instructions on importing images through the app.

The Creation Studio app is available now on iOS and Android. 2K16, meanwhile, is available on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, and PS3.

Someone Built Fallout 4's Fat Man Out of Legos, and It Really Shoots

The latest video game weapon to be built out of Legos is the Fallout series' Fat Man, the portable nuclear bomb catapult that inexplicably fits in your back pocket.

This is the creation of YouTube channel ZaziNombies. As seen in the video above, the Lego Fat Man was built using more than 2,500 bricks and is capable of shooting its equivalent of a mini nuke (a Lego zeppelin). It weighs over 10 pounds and measures in at more than four feet long.

We've seen a number of other video game weapons also designed by ZaziNombies, all of them impressive. That includes Team Fortress 2's Tomislav, a Call of Duty flamethrower, and Destiny's Gjallarhorn and Telesto (my personal favorite).

These are often built at the behest of viewers. If there's something you'd like to see made, you can suggest it in the comments of the video on YouTube.

Sony Steps in to Help With PlayStation Vita Port of The Banner Saga

Sony has announced it will help publisher Versus Evil bring the PlayStation Vita version of The Banner Saga to market, just days after developer Stoic announced that the game had been put on the back burner due to some serious production issues.

PlayStation's Gio Corsi, who appeared on stage at PlayStation Experience earlier this month to make a string of PS Vita announcements, confirmed the news on Twitter today. No release date for The Banner Saga's PS Vita edition was announced, but more details will be revealed next year.

So what happened with the PS Vita version of The Banner Saga that required Sony to step in? Just last week, Stoic technical director John Watson explained in a forum post that the unspecified developer tasked with porting the game to PS Vita (and Xbox One and PlayStation 4) folded, and there was no way to recover expenses. Thankfully, a replacement developer was quickly found and the console versions are being readied for release in January. The PS Vita version, however, was put on the back burner as a result.

"I have been excited about the Vita port since day one, and I would love to see the Banner Saga running on my own Vita," he said at the time. "The realities, however, of a very small team and a limited budget, put an immutable check on the speed of our progress. Stoic is composed of only four full time internal team members, all of which are currently working 100% on Banner Saga 2."

It's unclear exactly what level of involvement Sony hasn't with The Banner Saga's PS Vita port. We have followed up with the company in an attempt to find out.

The Banner Saga scored a 7 in GameSpot's review, which said it's a beautiful game filled with interesting ideas and enjoyable battles, but its story gets entangled within its own winding web.

How to Get a New Xbox One for $255 or Less

Target is currently running a pretty solid deal on Xbox One hardware.

You can now use the free Target Cartwheel app (via NeoGAF) to get almost any new Xbox One console for 15 percent off. This brings the price down from $300 (the current holiday promotional price) to just $255 before tax. If you're a Red card member, you'll save an additional 5 percent off that, which comes out to $243.

The 15 percent off Cartwheel coupon is good on all Xbox One hardware except the Halo 5: Guardians collector's edition system. However, if you're eyeing that console, you can save 10 percent on it by using this other Cartwheel coupon.

Both offers expire on December 12, so you'll need to act quickly to enjoy the savings.

Target isn't the only retailer with a good Xbox One deal going on now. Best Buy is now offering a $500 bundle that comes with a new Xbox One and a 40-inch HDTV for $500.

Microsoft Says Xbox One Cloud Tech Available to Any Game, Including PS4 Exclusives

Microsoft will not keep outside developers from using its Azure cloud-based technology, not even developers of exclusive games for other platforms, Xbox gaming boss Phil Spencer says.

Writing on Twitter (via DualShockers), a fan asked Spencer about Titanfall 2 and how they would "hate to see the franchise lose out on Azure Cloud computing and servers."

Spencer replied: "Azure services are available to any game, even other platform's exclusives. We wouldn't keep someone from using."

But Spencer didn't divulge any further details about what arrangement might be in place for Titanfall 2 as it relates to its use of Azure. "I know people want me to comment on specific 3rd party games, I just can't. Sorry," he explained.

The original Titanfall's use of cloud servers was a highly touted feature when the game launched on Xbox systems and PC in 2014. Microsoft and developer Respawn said using the technology unlocked a number of benefits for the in-game AI, which in turned freed up processing power for "more detailed graphics."

Whether or not the sequel, which is all but confirmed to be a multiplatform game, also uses the cloud tech--and what advancements might be in place as a result--remains to be seen.

Battlefield 4's Latest DLC Has Ridiculously Elaborate Easter Egg

Easter Eggs in games are nothing new. But a new one featured in a map from Battlefield 4's late, Legacy Operations, is one of the more elaborate Easter Eggs we have ever seen.

YouTube's jackfrags provides an overview in the 11-minute video above.

As you'll see, it's an incredibly involved process. To solve the puzzle, you'll have to decipher Morse code, press tiny buttons (some of which are under water), and record audio and then slow it down--and more.

If you complete all the steps, you'll get a unique code to enter that rewards you with an ultra-rare weapon skin and camo that's normally reserved only for DICE LA employees. Every player has a unique code that only works for them, so if you want the secret camo, you're really going to have to work for it.

The free Legacy Operations expansion, featuring the Dragon Valley map remake and more, is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Oculus Rift Now Suggests Four USB Ports as System Requirements Change

The Oculus Rift is set for release in the first quarter of 2016, but it seems like its recommended system requirements are still being ironed out. Users will now need even more USB ports than before.

Eagle-eyed Reddit user Kontis found the change and posted it to the Oculus subreddit. Instead of the original two USB 3.0 ports, those wanting to use the Rift to its full potential will now need four USB ports (three USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0).

Oculus CEO Palmer Luckey replied to the thread, saying the new requirements assume the player is "using Touch and an Xbox One gamepad at the same time." It was announced earlier this year that every Oculus Rift would include an Xbox One controller.

"Many people will be able to reduce port utilization with hubs, but your experience will vary by computer and hub," said Luckey. "We want to be totally honest with the maximum-use scenario so people can prepare and not have to swap ports around depending on the game they play."

The rest of the virtual reality headset's system requirements remain unchanged.

The Rift is currently slated for a Q1 2016 release, which could be any time from January 1 to March 31 of next year. A price has not been announced, though we do know it will cost more than $350.

Crysis developer Crytek recently announced The Climb, a mountain climbing video game that's coming exclusively to Oculus. GameSpot's Mike Mahardy went hands-on with The Climb, which he said provided a vivid sense of place, and elicited a real physical reaction that triggered his fear of heights.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 - Kurt Russell Confirms Talks for Role

Although Marvel's superhero movies are as surefire hits as you get in Hollywood these days--outside of Star Wars--it was still surprising just how popular Guardians of the Galaxy was. This was a movie that did not feature any iconic, established superheroes, but focussed upon a dysfunctional intergalactic team that did not exist in comic books before 2008. However, it went on to become one of Marvel's biggest hits, and the sequel is due in 2017. Now Hateful Eight star Kurt Russell has confirmed that he is in talks to appear in the next film.

In an interview with the HSH podcast, he revealed that he has spoken to writer/director James Gunn about appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. "The way the world works today is very different from back in the day, when nobody knew about anything," he said (via Vulture). "I literally got a phone call two days ago about this. You got to understand something, I've never seen Guardians of the Galaxy. I don't know anything about it. I'm one of the four idiots who have never seen it, evidently.

"I tell you what: many, many times I've heard, 'That's a really fun movie. Really good movie. Great characters.' But I don't know it. I didn't realize [Gunn] had written and directed it. So we talked to each other on the phone and I just had to be honest and say, 'Thank you for considering me, I have to read it and I have to watch the movie, because I can't bring anything for you. I got nothing to offer here.'

"I'm amazed to get asked about this, because everybody knows more about it than I do."

Pre-production began on the movie last month, with star Zoe Saldana tweeting pictures of her makeup tests. Returning to the movie alongside her will be Chris Pratt, Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, and Michael Rooker.

Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2 is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on May 5, 2017.

Xbox One Elite Controller Has "Exceeded Our Planning," Microsoft Says

Demand for the $150 Xbox One Elite controller has surpassed Microsoft's original planning and the company is now "working to get more in stock." That's according to Xbox boss Phil Spencer, who talked more about the demand for the sold-out controller in an exchange with fans on Twitter recently.

"We are working to get more in stock," he said to one person. "Sorry they've been so hard to find."

Asked by another if they could expect to be able to buy an Elite controller before Christmas (December 25), Spencer wouldn't say yes or no.

"It's tough, as I don't want to over-promise," he explained. "Demand has just exceeded our planning. If you find one and you want it, pick it up, sorry."

The Xbox One Elite controller launched at the end of October alongside Halo 5: Guardians. The pad's premium price point did not scare people away, it seems, as the controller sold out quickly. Right now, the controller remains sold out at places like Amazon, GameStop, and Microsoft's own store.

The Microsoft Store page says new Elite units will ship on December 28, missing the holiday.

There is another way to get your hands on an Elite controller. You can buy the new $500 Xbox One Elite model that launched this month; it comes with a 1 TB console and the unique, transforming controller.

Earlier in November, Microsoft warned that Elite controller supply "may be limited through November."

For more on the Elite controller, check out GameSpot's hands-on impressions in the video above.

Valve Updates Steam Controller With Better Aiming and Customization Options

Valve released an update for its Steam Controller today, which the company hopes will make playing games like real-time strategy and first-person shooter games easier.

The company added mouse regions where players can map a trackpad to a specific part of the screen, like the mini-map in a real-time strategy game. Players can also configure a trackpad with a new touch menu. The menu can hold up to 16 different hotkeys, supposedly making it easier to get into all of the menus you'd find in a role-playing game.

Valve has also taken community suggestions and shipped configurations to help users navigate their PCs outside of Steam, in addition to making it easier to understand what's going on in-game. A new HUD has been made available that allows players to see what input the Steam controller is generating--for example, if you tilt the controller to the left, it may be generating a press of the Q key on a keyboard.

Future updates have also been promised with the next Steam beta client. Controller support for non-Steam games like World of Warcraft will be supported. And linking your controller to your account in order to use your configurations wherever you go is on its way as well. No date was given for when the next beta client would be available.

Valve also highlighted some of the advancements made by its community. Taking advantage of the gyro input for more accurate camera control in games like Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was shown, as well as a mouse-like joystick mode that allows players to aim with the right trackpad and "still enjoy mouse accuracy."

The Steam controller launched back in November and has since been customized to a number of different players' likings, including a son who wanted his disabled father to enjoy Skyrim. Valve released a video yesterday, showing how the Steam controller is made by Portal-themed robots.

PlayStation Exec Defends PS2-on-PS4 Price Points

PlayStation president of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida has spoken out to defend the price points for the company's PlayStation 2 games on PlayStation 4. The first batch of games available now cost $10-$15, which some deemed to be pretty pricey.

He said on a recent PlayStation Nation podcast that the emulation technology (which can get the PS2 games running at 1080p/60 FPS) as well as the implementation for PS4 features like Trophies and Share functionality, doesn't necessarily come cheap. There also also licensing and quality assurance costs.

"We are also able to add Trophies; some people really care about Trophies," he said. "So we can provide that. And it takes some time for our staff and QA and licensing and everything to bring back these games. So it takes us time and cost. So we felt that we should charge."

Yoshida went on to say that of course the PS2-to-PS4 emulation technology cannot bring classic games up to the graphical standards of contemporary counterparts. But the improvements are good enough so that you can play a 20-40 hour role-playing game and not grow tired of the experience, he said.

It's possible price points will come down in time, but this is not confirmed. You can already save on one of the games, PaRappa the Rapper 2 if you're a PlayStation Plus member ($7.50 instead of $10).

In addition to PaRappa the Rapper 2 (which arrived just this week), Sony has confirmed that The King of Fighters 2000 will be added later. Rockstar's Max Payne might also be on the way, though this is not confirmed.

Earlier this month, Yoshida said Sony will work "tirelessly" to release even more PS2 games for PS4 "on a regular basis." The company is also asking for your suggestions for which games should be added.

Watch Robot-Dogs Pull Santa's Sleigh

Robotics company Boston Dynamics has put out a holiday video showing off three of their robot-dogs pulling Santa's Sleigh. Take a look at the impressive (or terrifying?) video below.

There is a lot that could be said about this video. But YouTube comments sum it up the best. Here's a sampling of what people are saying about this video right now.

"My nightmares didn't need this""That's pretty neat yo""Obama, stop it!""Here comes Robot Santa. HO HO HO.""What the actual f**k? What kind of sick, inhuman, psychopathic numb-skull thinks it's actually a good idea to try to use the message of Christmas as a marketing tool to promote mechanical military equipment? Whoever posted this video, it seems.""Rudolf should have got a red laser for his nose - to destroy Santa's enemies!""That's creepy af"Boston Dynamics is a New England company that builds "advanced robots" that aim to change your perception of what robots are capable of. Batman: Arkham Knight December DLC Release Date Announced, New Footage Revealed

Batman: Arkham Knight's December DLC will arrive on December 22, Rocksteady Studios has announced. The expansion is called Season of Infamy, and, among other things, it delivers Batman and Batmobile skins based on Christopher Nolan's 2008 Caped Crusader movie, The Dark Knight.

Rocksteady has also posted the final "Arkham Insider" video feature 2015. This one shows off the Season of Infamy content, featuring insight from a number of developers, including studio head Sefton Hill.

Hill also talks about saying goodbye to the Batman Arkham series, though you'll notice he does not outright 100 percent confirm that Rocksteady won't ever make another Batman game. As for what's next for Rocksteady, whatever it is, it may feature multiplayer in some way, according to a recent job listing.

Season of Infamy, which also includes the other content seen in this mosaic, is included with the Arkham Knight DLC pass or can be purchased individually on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

Walmart's Cyber Monday Deals Include $300 Xbox One With Extra Controller

[UPDATE] It's now Cyber Monday and these deals--and more--are available at Walmart's website.

The original story is below.

Walmart today announced its Cyber Monday offers. They aren't nearly as extensive as what will be available on Black Friday, but there are still some decent deals to be had.

One of the retailer's video game deals is the Gears of War Ultimate Edition Xbox One bundle with an extra controller for $300. Note, however, that the bonus controller is a third-party pad.

If you're in the market for a New Nintendo 3DS XL, you can get a system and a free game of your choosing for $200. Walmart will also offer the Star Wars Battlefront PS4 bundle with an extra controller and headset for $400, which is the price that the system normally sells for without the extras.

These deals start at 8 PM EST on Sunday, November 29. Walmart's Cyber Monday campaign runs through Friday, December 4, and more than 2,000 items will be featured through the course of the sale.

Head to Bfads.net to see Walmart's entire lineup of Cyber Monday deals.

The retailer will also offer an "Evening Edition" promotion on Cyber Monday. This is a limited-time sale that aims to appeal to people who work during the day and can't (or shouldn't) shop online until later in the day. More details about the specific Evening Edition deals will be announced in the coming days.

Heartfelt Game About Childhood Cancer Gets Release Date

That Dragon, Cancer is a game about a young child's four-year fight with cancer. Originally set for a 2014 release, you'll be able to play it early next year.

Joel Green is a kid who lost his battle with cancer at five years old. His story is being told in That Dragon, Cancer, a game developed by Joel's parents Ryan and Amy.

It's described on its website as "about two hours of poetic, imaginative gameplay that explores faith, hope, and love."

Joel loved pancakes, so his family will be celebrating the release of That Dragon, Cancer with a pancake party. The Green family is inviting everyone around the world to host their own pancake party as well.

That Dragon, Cancer will be available next year on January 12 for PC, Mac, and Ouya. It's now available for preorder on the game's website.

That Dragon, Cancer was shown at E3 2013 and GameSpot previewed it, saying it wasn't one of the biggest games at the show, but it might have been the most important.

Star Wars 7 Cast Salaries Revealed

When it comes to Star Wars: The Force Awakens and big numbers, the news this week has been the film's incredible, record-smashing box office success. However, a new set of figures have been reported that are just as fascinating--the estimated earnings of the film's cast. Major spoilers ahead, so use caution if you're trying to avoid any potential plot details for the movie.

Variety have revealed that Harrison Ford is the film's biggest earner by some distance, netting himself an eight figure sum that is estimated to be somewhere in the $10 million to $20 million range. Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, the other two main stars from the original trilogy, were both paid in the "low-seven-figure range."

Elsewhere, supporting actors Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac received "mid-to-high-six figures," while the movie's two young stars, John Boyega and Daisy Ridley, were both paid between $100,000 and $300,000.

Variety explains that the reason for Ford's huge salary was predominantly because Han Solo is killed off in the movie, while Hamill and Fisher will continue to play Luke and Leia in forthcoming sequels. This so-called "legacy pay deal" reflects the fact that their parts will increase in size in subsequent Star Wars films, which will be represented in larger earnings.

Despite being the film's leads, Boyega and Ridley were paid considerably less because they were relatively unknown before appearing in The Force Awakens. Conversely, Driver and Isaac are established actors and their fees are in line with what they earn on other film and TV projects.

These salaries do not include back-end and percentage deals based on the film's profits. Variety reports that, unusually, these do not kick in until The Force Awakens crosses the $1 billion mark worldwide. To date, the movie has made $610 million at the global box office.

For more talk about The Force Awakens, check out our look at the film's three biggest unanswered questions.

With the Rainbow Six Siege open beta scheduled to begin tomorrow, November 25, Ubisoft has now shared more details about what players can expect from it in terms of graphics. Writing on the game's website (via Videogamer), Ubisoft confirmed that the open beta will run at 1080p on PlayStation 4 and 900p on Xbox One.

That's the same resolution as the previous Siege closed beta. Ubisoft notes that final performance could be even better, as the developer continues to work on various optimization efforts.

"We're still looking to push the hardware as much as possible in order to deliver a quality experience for players and will be able to share more about the final resolution once we're closer to release date," it said.

The resolution for the PC version of Siege, meanwhile, will vary between 720p and 1080p depending on your setup. You can see the game's minimum and recommended PC requirements here.

Win Special Destiny Emblem by Beating Developers at Their Own Game [UPDATE]

[UPDATE] The event has now ended.

The original story is below.

Destiny's "Bungie Bounty" event, during which you can earn special prizes by beating the developer at its own game, returns tonight, December 22. Starting at 4 PM PST / 7 PM EST, Bungie developers will hop into Sparrow Racing League matches on Xbox One--beat them and you'll get a special emblem (below).

"If you can match against us, you'll be racing against some of the very same developers who created the Sparrow Racing League," Bungie said in an announcement. "This is your chance to beat us at our own game. If you can place in the top three, we'll deliver [the emblem above] to your Postmaster. Every race has a trophy."

The event runs for a period of two hours, ending at 6 PM PST / 9 PM EST. Be on the lookout for Bungie community managers "DeeJ" and "Cozmo" on Xbox Live, as you'll need to match up with them for a shot to win. However, it may not be them actually behind the controller.

You can watch the entire event live on Bungie's Twitch channel.

A Sparrow Racing League Bungie Bounty event was held last week on PlayStation 4. The Destiny racing mode's days are numbered, as it goes away on December 29.

Previous Bungie Bounty events saw the developer challenging the community at Crucible modes.

It's described as a "versatile new video game system that serves as a modern day take on the classic game console." It can play 8-, 16-, and 32-bit games, which Coleco says it is a "growing and popular genre."

The Coleco Chameleon will play cartridge games--no, really. That makes it the first console about two decades to do that. In a statement, Retro Video Game Systems president Mike Kennedy said the console "is a love-letter to all the classic cartridge based gaming systems that came before it."

"It will take gamers and their families back to a simpler time where games were all about great gameplay and fun factor," he added. The original ColecoVision console was released in 1982.

Pricing was not announced. But writing on Twitter, developers said "it will be significantly more affordable than the first go-around."

The Coleco Chameleon will be available to buy in early 2016 and will be on display at the Toy Fair New York in February. You can learn more about the console on its website.

Fable Legends Microtransaction Pricing Revealed - Report

Unlike past entries in the Fable series, Fable Legends is a free-to-play game that will be supported by microtransactions. Now, the apparent prices for those microtransactions have been revealed--and some people are not happy.

In a thread on Reddit (via NeoGAF) called "Here's one reason Fable Legends is going to suck," someone who was apparently in the closed beta (which is under an NDA) posted a screenshot from the "Bank of Brightlodge."

That's apparently the name of Fable Legends' in-game store, which will sell "Gold" in a number of different bundles and price points. According to the images, here's what you can buy:

Fable Legends Alleged Microtransaction Pricing:Pound of Gold (850 pieces) -- $5Mark of Gold (1850 pieces) -- $10Stone of Gold (2850 pieces) - $15Hundredweight of Gold (6000 pieces) - $30Ton of Gold (12,800 pieces) - $60Fable Legends remains in closed beta. It's possible these price points will change over time. Whatever the case, developer Lionhead Studios is already catching some heat on social media for these prices.

When it announced Fable Legends would be a free-to-play game earlier this year, Lionhead Studios stressed that you can play the entire game--the full storyline and all quests--without spending a penny. Additionally, everything "that affects gameplay" can be earned by playing the game.

Fable Legends will launch with four hero characters to play for free, available on a rotating basis. Progress achieved with any hero is saved, so that when the comes around again, you can pick up where you left off. If you want to have constant, permanent access to a specific hero, you can buy them using in-game currency you've collected from gameplay or by purchasing them with real money.

Product manager Ian Griffiths told GameSpot that Fable Legends' business model is inspired by games like League of Legends, Dota 2, and Team Fortress 2. You can read more about the game's free-to-play business model here and here.

Once scheduled to launch this year in open beta, Fable Legends has now been delayed to 2016. In announcing the game's delay, Lionhead admitted that it "didn't anticipate just how big Fable Legends" would become. As a result, development time has stretched further than what the company previously modeled.

"The team is working exceptionally hard and we're proud of how far the game has come," Lionhead said at the time. "We're operating our closed beta 24/7 and have added lots more features, quests, creatures, and heroes to play."
